Luontokeskus Kellokas open from 27.11. at 16-21, and 28 to 29.11. 8-14.30.

The competition and -terrain
Luontokeskus Kellokas is an area of finish line. Start place is located near to Ylläs Ski parking place. Parking is in Ylläs Ski parking place.
Note. Luontokeskus Kellokas restaurant is prepared to serve the ski orienteering people on both days. Kellokas parking place is reserved only for the Luontokeskus Kellokas workers, so be friendly and park your car in the Ylläs Ski parking place.
The competition terrain is in the slope of the Yllästunturi 325 - 400 meters above sea level. The lowest and the highest seat height is about 75 m.

Competition materials and entry fees

INFO place will serve competitors and give out competition numbers and emit checking cards, reviewing entry fees and handing hired emit cards.
Test your card in INFO`s 0-stamp.
Both days of competition using the same number, one at a prominent place on the front left thigh.

Map
A4-size print. The old map is available at the scoreboard and start place. On Saturday, the scale is 1:10 000, Sunday, 1:12 500. The maps are not collected. You must not show your map to a competitor who are waiting to start.
Fair play in every way!

Tracks
Tracks has a total of about 60 km. Snowmobile tracks are mostly 0.8 - 1.2 meters wide.

Machine-made ski-skating track is about 6 km. In the terrain can move skiers and snowmobile users. Be careful! Orienteerers participate in to competition on their own responsibility.

Control points and bunching

All the control points are points which through one can ski. All the codes are both in emit and in the string, see the model control point. Emit-bunch, be sure to reset the starting spot. Bunch also in the finish. Emit-checking immediately after the finish.

Sat 28.11. middle distance, Su 29.11. long distance

Start
Saturday is the first departure at 11.00 am, the visibility is certainly fair to all.

H21A series on Sunday at 10.30 km the mass start and D21A series at 10.40. Other series in the interval departure will start at 11.00.

Starting spot reaches Ylläs Ski departing from the parking area towards the underpass along the illuminated skiing track, the journey of around 1000 m. Underpass precaution against skiers.

GPS-tracking
GPS-tracking is used on Saturday with H21A and Sunday D21A & H21A -classes. Tracking is shown after the last start in auditorium and online in gpsseuranta.net.

Tracking device is carried in a special "pocket" fastened to map holder straps. Competitors who are selected for tracking, should pick up the device & pocket near the start place on Saturday at last 10-15 minutes before own start. On Sunday H21A class should pick up device&pocket before 10:15 and W21A before 10:25. Devices and pockets are collected at finish both days.

Warm-up and testing skis
Warm-up and testing of skis is the lighted ski trail next to parking area.

Dressing, washing, toilet

In the competition centre is not a warm dressing and washing room. Kellokas toilets are in use.

Victory ceremony
Prizes will be awarded according of the total results on Sunday in Luontokeskus Kellokas. Awards Ceremony begins at the earliest at 13.00

Lapin Suunnistus and Ylläksen Rasti wish all the competitors challenging moments in ski orienteering tasks.
